Yay niece Elena who turned 8 months old on Thursday :) we exchanged singing and raspberries while ostensibly talking with her Mum for some time yesterday. Lovely. Also spent 10 whole minutes on phone with Mum - couldn't get a word in! she's firing along on all cylinders and completely comprehensible most of the time. Fell apart a bit talking to boss today, so now she's up to speed on recent inner dialogue(s) etc. Shocked her a bit, I think, but she said she was glad I'd said something about it all & was able to provide some reassurances etc. So.
